congratulations to mark goodacre!

I can now offer my public congratulations to Mark Goodacre for his appointment as Associate Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Duke University. As some will know, Mark is my doctoral supervisor at Birmingham, so I've known of this privately for a little while and this sweet news has a somewhat bitter taste for me. Nevertheless, that does not diminish the sincerity of my congratulations to Mark. This is good news for him and his family, and for Duke University and New Testament scholarship in North America. Q scholars in North America, beware! :-)
