Helenann Hartley has noted this article, describing a recent lecture at Stanford University by Paula Fredriksen: New Testament scholar compares the ‘Jesus of Hollywood’ to the historical one. It's always interesting to hear Fredriksen on Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, because she was on a panel of scholars who reviewed the script prior to its official release and strongly criticized it.
